Parishes of Jamaica

Jamaica is the third largest of the islands in the Caribbean. Approximately the size of Connecticut, it is divided into 14 parishes. Being such a large and culturally diverse island, each of Jamaica’s parishes is unique. There are noticeable differences in geography, culture, music, and even a different patois from section to section. The Jamaica Field Service Project has regular trip sites in four of the parishes in Jamaica: Westmoreland, Portland, St. Mary, and St. Elizabeth.
